Initially, my studies were centered on the sciences, running parallel to a compulsive drawing practice and drumming for a punk-funk ensemble. I later commenced a degree in Agricultural Engineering (two years) but ultimately left it to pursue Art, obtaining a degree in Design and New Media (followed by a Ph.D.). I quickly entered the professional world, designing websites and interactive media. However, I continued to draw and paint across various supports, intervening in public space, and progressively incorporating visualization and sonification technologies into the mediation of the artistic experience—always striving to provoke interactions between human and non-human agents, between satellites and screens, and between shared perceptions and fictions. It was at this juncture that I decided to dedicate myself fully to artistic practice. I consider it the optimal locus for understanding our world, and for constructing enhanced co-existences within the networks (of care, inspiration, and collaboration) that we share with alterity.

Primero enfoqué mis estudios hacia las ciencias mientras dibujaba compulsivamente y tocaba la batería en un grupo de punk-funk. Más tarde, comencé la carrera de Ingeniería Agrónoma (dos años) pero la dejé finalmente para estudiar Arte, licenciándome en Diseño y Nuevos Medios (y, más tarde, doctorándome). Empecé pronto a trabajar diseñando páginas web e interactivos. Pero, aún así, seguía dibujando y pintando en todo tipo de soportes, interviniendo en el espacio público e incorporando, cada vez más, tecnologías de visualización y sonorización en la mediación de la experiencia artística... siempre intentando provocar interacciones entre humanos y no-humanos, entre satélites y pantallas, entre percepciones y ficciones compartidas. Fue entonces cuando decidí dedicarme a la práctica artística al 100%. Considero que es el mejor lugar para entender nuestro mundo y, también, para construir mejores convivencias dentro de las redes (de cuidados, inspiración y colaboración) que compartimos con la otredad.

Multidisciplinary artist, PhD in Contemporary Art (Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2021 by the Complutense University of Madrid), specialised in New Media Art at the MEDIA Lab of the University of Art and Design Helsinki (UIAH, Finland), and lecturer in Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the Faculty of Fine Arts UCM.

He is currently part of the research groups ‘Artistic practices and new forms of knowledge’ (id UCM: 588) and ‘Urban Art and Technosphere’ associated with the Master ‘Creative Approaches to Public Space’ (University of Rennes 2, France). He is also part of the R&D project ‘Energy Humanities: Energy and socio-cultural imaginaries between the industrial revolution and the ecosocial crisis’ (PID2020-113272RA-I00, HUMENERGE) based at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC, Spain).

He develops his art-based research within the synergies between contemporary art + (post)nature + situated technologies, with a special interest in public interventions, ecocritical art, interspecies communication and data visualisation.

His body of work have been exhibited at museums both nationally and internationally, including the Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art (South Korea), the Carrara Marble Museum and Fondazione Pastificio Cerere in Rome (Italy), The Drawing Center (New York), or ABC Museum (Madrid) and Center Arts Santa Mònica (Barcelona), among other international art centers and galleries. He has obtained some art awards and international research and production scholarships such as the Beca de Artes Plásticas de la Real Academia de España en Roma (Italy), or the Gyeonggi Creation Center International Exchange Program Artist Residence in Seoul (South Korea), the XX Premi Ciutat de Manacor dʼArts Plàstiques (Mallorca), the II Artistic Research and Production Grant from the Espai Rambleta Contemporary Art Center (Valencia) or Tilling Roots and Seeds 2023-2025 co-funded by the European Union and Quo Artis (Barcelona) as lead partner, among others.

Artista multidisciplinar, premio extraordinario de doctorado en Bellas Artes por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, especializado en New Media Art en el MEDIA Lab de la University of Art and Design Helsinki (UIAH, Finlandia), y docente en Grado y Máster en la Facultad de Bellas Artes UCM. 


Actualmente forma parte de los grupos investigación "Prácticas artísticas y nuevas formas de conocimiento" (id UCM: 588) y "Arte Urbano y Tecnosfera" asociado al Master “Creative Approaches to Public Space” (University of Rennes 2, Francia) . También forma parte del equipo de investigación en el proyecto I+D "Humanidades energéticas: Energía e imaginarios socioculturales entre la revolución industrial y la crisis ecosocial" (PID2020-113272RA-I00, HUMENERGE) con base en el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC,España).

Desarrolla su investigación basada en arte en el ámbito de las sinergias entre arte contemporáneo + (post)naturaleza + tecnologías situadas, con especial interés en las intervenciones públicas, el arte ecocrítico, la comunicación interespecies y la visualización de datos.

Ha expuesto su obra en el Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art (Corea del Sur), el Museo del Mármol de Carrara y la Fondazione Pastificio Cerere de Roma (Italia), The Drawing Center (New York), o el Museo ABC (Madrid) y el Centre Arts Santa Mònica (Barcelona), entre otras instituciones artísticas internacionales. También ha obtenido premios y becas de investigación y producción como la Beca de Artes Plásticas de la Real Academia de España en Roma, o el Gyeonggi Creation Center International Exchange Program Artist Residence en Seúl (Corea del Sur), el XX Premi Ciutat de Manacor dʼArts Plàstiques (Mallorca), la II Beca de Investigación y Producción artística del Centro de Arte Contemporáneo Espai Rambleta (Valencia) o Tilling Roots and Seeds 2023-2025 concedido por la Unión Europea y la Fundación Quo Artis (Barcelona), entre otros apoyos a la investigación y producción en arte contemporáneo.
